Reap Business Account API Launched - Create cards programmatically

In this article

Creating virtual cards in Reap meant opening the dashboard and setting up each one by hand. That works fine for a handful of cards. It stops working when you need one card per campaign, one per booking, or one per employee, and you need them by the hundred.

The Reap Business Account API is now live in beta. You can create virtual cards programmatically, from your own systems, without touching the dashboard.

What You Can Do Today

  • Create virtual cards programmatically: one per campaign, one per booking, one per employee, however you want to scope them
  • Set each card's budget cap at creation, so no card can overspend its purpose
  • Trigger card creation from your own systems, so a new campaign or a new hire produces a card without anyone opening a dashboard
  • Fund your account with USDC, USDT, or fiat

Who This Helps

Advertising and media buying.

Run one card per ad account or campaign, created through the API as campaigns launch. Reconciling by card becomes reconciling by campaign, which takes shared-card untangling out of month-end.

Travel booking and OTAs.

Issue a card per booking per invoice, scoped to the exact booking amount, at the moment the booking is made. No manual card setup between the booking and the payment.

Employee card programs.

Create cards as part of onboarding, with per-employee spend limits set at creation rather than configured afterwards.

What's Next

Transaction and balance endpoints are coming. Those will let you pull raw transaction and balance data per card, per person, and per transaction, then shape it however you need: a custom spend dashboard, per-card attribution to a client or campaign, or a direct feed into NetSuite, Xero, QuickBooks, or whatever your finance team already runs.

Get Started

The Business Account API is in beta and available on request. Reach out to the Reap team to have it enabled for your account. You will get your API keys and access to the documentation.

A quick note on which API you need: the Business Account API is for businesses managing their own card spend. If you are a platform looking to launch branded cards for your own users, that is Reap's Card Issuing API instead.
